Selling Your Home in Snohomish County?

Under Snohomish County Ordinance BOH26-02, homeowners selling a property must complete a certified septic inspection, pump the tank if recommended, obtain an as-built record drawing, and have a Report of Property Transfer (RPT) accepted by SCHD before the sale can close. After inspection, a Report of Property Transfer (RPT) is submitted to Snohomish County Health Dept. (SCHD) for review — valid for 12 months from date of county acceptance. At closing, sellers must also provide the buyer with maintenance records and a seller's disclosure statement (RCW 64.06).
